This year, ACS Athens boasts 18 new educators and researchers who will present for the first time. Among them are:

• Mariale Hardiman, Assistant Dean for Urban School Partnerships and Chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and Neuro-Education Initiative, Johns Hopkins University School of Education, MD, USA
• Dr. William G.Nicoll, Professor, Florida Atlantic University, FL, USA
• Dr. Kim Paulsen, Associate Professor and Director of Teacher Education of the Department of Special Education, Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, TN, USA.
Included in the thirty-seven inspiring, interactive workshops are: “Differentiation for Gifted Learners”; “Connecting Brain Research with Effective Teaching for All Learners through the Brain-Targeted Teaching Model”; “Fostering Resilience - Risk and Protective Factors for Vulnerable Students”; and “Being Dyslexic. How a learning disability influences the psychological development of an individual.
Participants in the Conference have the opportunity to obtain (3) three semester credits from the University of Indianapolis, Athens or (1) one semester credit from State University of New York at Buffalo.
