2nd Athens Bike Festival Scheduled for Mid September

ATHENS, Greece – Athens, a city with a growing cycling culture, will see the 2nd Bike Festival this year. It follows the success of last year when this show debuted after the Bike&Run Expo transformed into the Athens Bike Festival. The 2011 Athens Bike Festival will take place from 16 to 18 September in Technopolis, the former Athens industrial museum that changed into a multipurpose exhibition center.
The event will be organised during the European Mobility Week which focuses on alternative mobility and wants to support the transition towards a resource-efficient transport system by promoting clean, fuel efficient modes and human-powered travel.
Organisers say that the 2011 Athens Bike Festival is aimed at: “Offering visitors the opportunity to see and test the latest bike models; to discuss with the market experts and to experience an alternative lifestyle through the parallel activities that will present a different and active culture worth discovering.
